How do you process my data?

When you create a profile on Boardway, it is not available to the public. If a company is looking for skills that match yours, your profile will automatically be matched with their posting - without the company gaining access to your profile.This means that you will receive an invitation to view the job posting, which you can accept or decline:

- If you accept, you will be included in the further screening process, where the company will gain access to your profile and can invite you for an interview.

- If you decline, no information will be shared, and the process stops there.

This ensures that you are only visible to the companies and roles that fit your current setup. For us, it is about building your visibility over time and being available for future opportunities, without having to network at the right time with the right people. The right opportunity rarely arises when you expect it – but by signing up for Boardway, you will be exposed to the companies that are currently looking for your skills and experience.

Can I delete my profile and data?

Absolutely. If you want to delete your profile and data, please write to hello@boardway.co and we'll remove it from our system.

When is my profile active on boardway?

If you meet the vetting criteria your profile will become instantly active on boardway. You can at any time disable your profile and activate it again when ready.

Does it cost anything to apply as candidate?

No. It’s free for candidates to apply and build their profiles on boardway. Our mission is to expand the board talent pool, and ensure a robust network of qualified board talent across the globe.

Who is accepted as board candidates on your platform?

We welcome all board talent with expertise across industries. Talent who meet our vetting criteria will have an active profile on boardway. Talent who do not meet these criteria can be added to our prospect board list.

What are your vetting criteria?

We strongly believe in transparency, and outlined our criteria for becoming a candidate on boardway. To qualify, you need to meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Domain Experience | 7+ years of direct experience in the relevant industry or field.
  • Leadership Experience | 7+ years in senior leadership roles, demonstrating strategic decision-making and management skills.
  • Board Experience | Current or past board position(s) with documented contributions and impact.
  • Board Education | Completion of 1+ recognized board education or governance program.
  • Company Exit | Track record of successful exit as part of the founding team.
  • Doctorate degree | Completion of a doctorate degree (PhD or equivalent) verified through academic record.

If you do not meet one of these criteria, but still would like to join, please submit your application anyways to become part of our board prospect list.

What does it require to sign up for boardway?

Signing up as a board candidate is easy and free.

  1. Submit your contact details, and share your LinkedIn URL or upload your resume.
  2. Edit your profile which has been auto-completed based on the information you provided (optional).
  3. Submit your application for review.

After submitting, your profile will be instantly reviewed based on our vetting criteria. If you meet the criteria, your profile will be released immediately. If your profile is not instantly approved you will hear from us within 24 hours.
